I'd like to say that due to circumstances beyond my control, I find myself in the untenable position of trying to live up to Mike & Theresa McLaren's legacy. But, then, well, I did say yes. After all, this whole CybePaper was a result of my admiration for their work and untiring effort.

A month ago, B.E. (before Eureka), we were still working out the details of how this CyberPaper was going to work. One thing I remember clearly is that Mike was going to do the writing and I was going to publish it on the web. And,

Of course, I’m thinking, they did have the advantage of quantity: there were two of them. So here comes the pitch. In order to keep this paper going I will need lots of contributors! Look in the classifieds. There is a six figure salary to anyone that participates in keeping the FOG alive.

Tammy Losko, the Tech Lady, from Carnegie Middle School has already kindly volunteered to contribute. I am also in the process of trying to convince Joe Blenkle of http://www.calweb.com/~jblenkle/sports/ to get involved. So far, I can’t seem to reach him by email and I don’t have his phone number. Tell Joe to call FOG!

Slowly, we’re licking the quantity problem. If Joe Blenkle is willing, it will be 3 to 2. However, I’m afraid we’ll need a lot of others to equal the work Mike and Theresa produced. And then, there is always the problem of quality...

Next month I’ll detail some of the goals and aspirations I have for the FOG. We’ll know more by then as we get accustomed to this publisher/editor stuff. See, I am already using the plural (not royal) pronoun.
